"Train to Overcome Adversity" — Elite law enforcement training, built for the street.
"Train to Overcome Adversity"
Our mission is to equip law enforcement officers with the knowledge, skills, and the mindset necessary to serve their communities with heightened awareness, safety, and professionalism. Through focused training programs, we aim to combat complacency, foster continuous education, and ensure officers are well-prepared for a multitude of situations. By embracing transparency, providing exceptional service, and upholding honesty in every interaction, we strive to ensure officers are better positioned to protect themselves, protect the citizens they serve, and encourage a proactive approach to policing their communities.
What's Coming
Fourth Amendment application, consensual encounters, detention authority, and search-and-seizure doctrine translated into patrol decisions that hold up in court.
Controlled substance identification, current trafficking patterns, physiological indicators, and Florida narcotics law from patrol to prosecution.
Recognition, communication strategies, and de-escalation techniques specific to autism spectrum encounters — equipping officers to respond safely, effectively, and with informed awareness.
Precinct 12 is a law enforcement training company built on a single principle: the quality of your training is the quality of your service to the community.
Precinct 12 is a Florida-based law enforcement training company founded on the belief that officers deserve more than checkbox training. We build courses that reflect the legal, tactical, and operational realities that officers and supervisors face every day.
Our training is designed to survive contact with the street, the courtroom, and the command staff. That is the standard we hold every module to.
Our name carries purpose. Precinct 12 is not a geographic designation — it is a mindset. A standard. A line in the sand between officers who are prepared and officers who are not.
Micheal Bodkin is a Florida law enforcement professional and Lieutenant with field experience across patrol operations, narcotics, and supervisory command. With years of operational service and a deep commitment to instructor-level training standards, he built Precinct 12 to deliver what the profession demands and too often doesn't receive: training that is legally sound, operationally real, and built to last beyond the classroom.
Precinct 12 exists because preparation is not optional. The officer who trains harder, thinks cleaner, and understands the law more deeply makes better decisions. That is the standard here.
Darrel Deen brings a rare depth of experience that spans both corrections and law enforcement. Currently serving as a Corporal at a Florida Sheriff's Office, Darrel has built his career on discipline, accountability, and a thorough understanding of the systems that shape public safety from the inside out. His background in corrections gives him a perspective few instructors can offer — a ground-level grasp of human behavior, institutional dynamics, and the realities officers encounter on both sides of the wire.
Darrel holds the same uncompromising standards that define Precinct 12, and his passion for developing new law enforcement officers is evident in everything he brings to the classroom. He believes that well-trained officers make safer communities, and he is committed to ensuring every student walks away sharper, more confident, and better prepared than when they walked in.
Our First Course
Our inaugural course is currently in production. It will reflect the full Precinct 12 standard — legally verified, instructor-tested, and field-applicable from the first module to the last.
